All Hail the Obamacle

Obamacles, the poem must be read by all, to understand the nature of moudern politicalous theory> Zoe commands you to read on minions.

...Fair Obamacles, favored of the gods, ascends to Olympus
Amidst lusty tributes and the strumming lyres of Media;
Their mounted skyboxes echo with the singing of his name
While Olbermos and Mattheus in their greasy togas wrassle

Obamacles had conquered all of the Chicagomon, even Daleos the little retard king,
Without once unsheathing his sword; such was his charm.
The monsters realized Obamacles was the perfect front man for federal funding scams,
And thus showered our hero with tributes and contributions,
Elevating him to Vicelord of the Chicagomon.

And finally...

"Who dares challenge me now?" asked Obamacles. "For I am Obacles,
vanquisher of Hildusa, of whom all of Demos sing;
Make him the mightiest, so that I might find him worthy."

I Pledge to Ridicule Celebrities Who Refuse to Recognize We Are At War With People Who Want to Kill Them, Too

MySpace Celebrity and Katalyst present The Presidential Pledge

The conservatives, Republicans and sundry non-lefties I know in show business have had nothing to say but positive and helpful things about the coming Obama presidency.

“We wish him well.” “He is our president now and he needs our help.”

These are the types of things I keep hearing.

And this is exactly the right attitude and exactly the right message.

God bless, President Obama. Even though I didn’t vote for him, and disagree with much of his agenda, he has my best wishes and all of my best efforts.

"And What Do We Have To Show For It?"

By Hugh Hewitt

If President Obama oversees the payout of more than a trillion bucks and cannot point to anything but statistics to show for it in two years, he'll have a political nightmare on his hands, and he'll deserve it. The enormous size of the stimulus is a never-before-seen-in-American-history splurge, and the Democrats thus far show no sign of treating it as other than a vast payout to their friends.

Quote of the Day

"It’s true, I did break bread with Obama. It was amazing. He was carried into the house by cherubs, Bruce Springsteen and Oprah Winfrey spread rose pedals on the carpet where he was about to walk and he very considerately asked me what vintage of wine I wanted my water turned into.

Remote control toy helicopter 'used to fly drugs into prison'

Remote control toy helicopter 'used to fly drugs into prison'

Quite ingenious I'd say!

Guards at Elmley Prison in Sheerness, Kent (UK), spotted the remote control miniature aircraft flying over the walls of the jail and heading for the accommodation blocks one night after it was picked up by CCTV cameras.
It had a small load beneath the fuselage, thought to contain drugs.
The toy or its cargo was not found.

Free Tuition for low-income in Michigan -- but who pays?

Who Benefits?

After all the "Michigan Cash Cab Drives Away..." Are there any Upper Peninsula Areas Included? I doubt it!

The so-called "promise zone" bills will allow school districts or municipalities that fall under the state's average income level to combine financial aid, private donations and half the growth in the state education tax on local property to provide free tuition.

Where are the "Promise Zones?"

"College tuition is ridiculously expensive," Granholm said.

My question as well Ms. Granholm: are you going to ask the Education Unions to make Concessions?"This is a long-term strategy to change the college education culture. We want to give opportunities to students, and we don't want cost to be a barrier." Jennifer replied... What do you think?

Hey buddy, got an extra $860M?

No Big Surprise here! Michigan to raise new "Solvency Tax."

Michigan owes the federal government over $860 million in unemployment insurance. That happens when you have more people drawing bigger unemployment checks than you have employers paying the unemployment tax

Here's what it means to Michigan job makers: 45,000 businesses with former employees drawing unemployment, the folks who still scribble those paychecks for your family and your loved ones every-other Friday, will be paying an extra $67.50 PER EMPLOYEE.

But wait, there's more... next year every job maker in the state will be charged an extra $21 for every man, woman and teenager they give a job and they'll do that every year until the state is paid up in full.

Silly Senator, Corn is for Food

It used to be "Big Oil" now it's "Big Corn." Big Corn Muscles Aside Solar, Wind and Geothermal Subsidies!

The Environmental Working Group has just issued a report that finds that 75 percent of all renewable fuels tax subsidies in 2007 went to environmentally damaging corn-ethanol production. In addition, the corn ethanol industry, teetering on the edge of collapse despite billions already wasted in subsidies on it, now wants additional billions for a bailout.

What happens when a fly falls into a coffee cup?

...the outcome is dependent on your cultural proclivities:

The Italian throws the cup, breaks it, and walks away in a fit of rage.

The German carefully washes the cup, sterilizes it and makes a new cup of coffee.

The Frenchman takes out the fly, and drinks the coffee.

The Chinese eats the fly and throws away the coffee.

The Russian drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra with no charge.

The Israeli sells the coffee to the Frenchman, sells the fly to the Chinese, sells the cup to the Italian, drinks a cup of tea, and uses the extra money to invent a device that prevents flies from falling into coffee.

Ah, but what does the Palestinian do with his fly infested coffee? I thought you’d never ask…
- - - - - - - - -

The Palestinian blames the Israeli for the fly falling into his coffee, protests the act of aggression to the UN, takes a loan from the European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase explosives and then blows up the coffee house where the Italian, the Frenchman, the Chinese, the German and the Russian are all trying to explain to the Israeli that he should give away his cup of tea to the Palestinian.

Note: the war weary Israeli was wearing full body armor, so he lived to tell us this tale.
